In addition to the rust ring removal version, the Algerbrush II also comes in a new pterygium version allowing your instrument to smooth out corneal or sclera cell “edges” created from pteygium excision promoting accelerated healing.

Sterilization Notes:

The body of the ALGERBRUSH and cap are to be wiped clean with al­cohol before and after each use.  Do not autoclave motor housing. The simplest means to sterilize is to remove the chuck and burr as one unit debride, and sterilize them both in a chemical autoclave, or dry-heat sterilizer.  The burr and chuck may be autoclaved, or gassed.   The burr itself is very small and can be easily lost if separated from the chuck, keep this in mind if you separate the two.     After sterilization examine the burr to make sure it is free of rust. Hold burr with a sterile hemostat when removing or inserting into chuck. When re-assembling the ALGERBRUSH or ALGERBRUSH II  make sure the chuck is secure on the motor shaft and the burr is secure in the chuck.  These are both held in place by friction.  This will ensure your unit will last for years to come.
